A QR code wedding guestbook for Australian weddings
Put a QR code on the welcome table and every table at the reception. Guests scan it with their phone camera and leave a message, a photo or a voice toast. Messages appear on the screen during the reception, and afterwards you keep all of them in one place.
How a QR code guestbook works
Every phone camera reads QR codes now, so there's nothing for guests to install and no account to create. They scan, type their message, add a photo if they like, and tap send. It takes under a minute, which matters at a reception where people would rather be dancing.
Because it's on their own phone, guests can sign whenever suits them: during canapés, between speeches or the next morning. The photos they post are the ones the photographer never sees, from the table, the dance floor and the after-party.
- One QR code for messages, photos and voice toasts
- A live wall on the reception screen or projector, with themes to match your styling
- Guests who can't travel can leave a message before the day
- A keepsake PDF, and on paid plans every photo and voice recording to download

| Messages | Written, photo and voice | Written | Voice only |
| Guests far away | Yes, from a link | No | No |

Plenty of couples keep a paper book for the ritual and add a QR code for everything else. They work well together.

Add a line to the QR sign to give guests a starting point:
- Your best advice for a happy marriage

- How you know the couple, in one sentence
- A date-night idea for their first anniversary
- Your favourite photo from today
- Record a toast you didn't get to give in the speeches
Pricing for a wedding (in AUD)
Start free and test the QR code and the wall at your venue walkthrough. The free plan holds 10 messages and 50 photos for 14 days, so it's for trying out, not for the day itself.
Most weddings choose Keepsake (A$199): unlimited messages, up to 500 guest photos, four wall themes, full downloads and 12 months online. Heirloom (A$249) adds all twelve themes, up to 2,500 photos and a clean highlight video. Your 12 months run from the day you buy, and after that hosting is A$29 a year, which you can cancel.
Questions people ask
Do our guests need an app or an account?
No. They scan the QR code with their phone camera and the guestbook opens in their browser. Older guests can type in the short event code instead.
What if the venue has poor phone reception?
Guests need a mobile or Wi-Fi connection to send a message. Check reception at your venue walkthrough, and share the venue Wi-Fi details on the QR sign if signal is weak. Guests can also leave their message later from the link.
Can we approve messages before they're shown?
You can hide or remove any message from your dashboard at any time, and pause the live wall while you do.
Can guests overseas leave a message?
Yes. Send them the link before the wedding and their message will be waiting on the wall on the day.
Can we print the messages afterwards?
Yes. Every plan includes a keepsake PDF of the messages. Keepsake and Heirloom also let you download every photo and voice recording.
