Terms of Service
1. Plans
Plans are purchased per event, not per account. Every event begins on the free plan and can be upgraded at any time.
- Free: up to 10 messages and 50 guest photos, the audio guestbook, the live wall with your own still or carousel photos, the Monochrome theme, and 14 days online from the day the event is created.
- Keepsake: unlimited messages, up to 500 guest photos, four themes, full exports, and 12 months online from the day of purchase.
- Heirloom: as Keepsake, with up to 2,500 guest photos, all themes, an unwatermarked highlight video, priority support, and 12 months online from the day of purchase.
The free plan's message and photo allowances are enforced automatically. When a free event reaches an allowance it stops accepting that type of new submission; everything already submitted remains available. Paid photo allowances are managed under the fair-use terms below.
2. Fair use of storage
Photo allowances are stated per event and exist to keep storage costs predictable. We do not interrupt a live event: if an event exceeds its allowance during the celebration itself, we will contact you afterwards and you may either export and remove files to come back within the allowance, or pay for additional storage. We will always tell you the cost before charging anything.
3. Hosting and renewal
- Included hosting begins when you create your event, and runs for the period stated on your plan.
- Buying a plan starts that period again from the date of purchase, so upgrading ahead of your event does not use up the storage you have paid for. Where an event already has a longer period remaining, the later date stands.
- Renewing extends the period from its current end date rather than restarting it.
- Paid plans include annual hosting that renews automatically. When you buy Keepsake or Heirloom you agree, at checkout, that once the included hosting period ends your event's hosting renews each year at A$29 per year (the price shown at checkout, in your currency), charged to the card you paid with, until you cancel. The first renewal charge is made on the day your included hosting ends.
- We email you 30 days before every renewal charge, stating the date and the amount. If a renewal payment fails we email you, and we retry it over the following days.
- You may cancel at any time from your dashboard, in one step. Cancelling stops future charges; your event stays online until the end of the period already paid for, then closes as described below.
- Plans bought before annual hosting was included do not renew automatically. You may choose to start an annual renewal for those events, and it then continues until you cancel it.
- Free events never renew and are never charged. Every host is emailed 4 days before a free event's hosting ends, and a free event can be kept online by upgrading it.
- If hosting is not renewed (you cancel, a renewal payment cannot be collected, or a free event is not upgraded), your guestbook closes on the date its hosting ends. There is no grace period after that date: you and your guests can no longer open it, view the wall, or download from it. Closing is not immediate deletion: during the retention period below, the content becomes available again if you renew (paid plans) or upgrade (free events).
- Closed events are retained for 90 days. We email you on the day your guestbook closes and state the deletion date. After that retention period, the event and its content will be permanently deleted. A watermarked PDF export is available on every plan while the event is online; photo, voice-note and other full downloads require a paid plan. We recommend exporting before hosting ends if you do not intend to renew or upgrade.
- If you delete an event yourself, it is hidden immediately and any active annual hosting subscription is set to cancel. We email you a link that can restore the event for 30 days. After that recovery period, the event and its content will be permanently deleted.
- Price changes to renewal fees take effect with at least 30 days' notice by email.
4. Prices and tax
Prices are shown in your local currency and include GST, VAT or sales tax where it applies. The amount you will be charged, including any discount, is shown at checkout before you pay. Where a discount code is used, the amount applied at checkout is the amount that applies — no figure quoted elsewhere overrides it.
5. Referral and partner programme
Discounts and commissions are set out when a partner joins and may change with notice. We reserve the right to void any commission for self-referrals or programme abuse. Commissions are paid once the customer's payment has been received and cleared.
6. Refunds
The free plan lets you try the core service before paying, so paid plans are non-refundable except as set out here. We will refund a paid plan in the case of a verified total technical failure of the service during your scheduled event. Claims must be submitted within 7 days of the event. Where a refund is issued because of our technical error, any associated partner commission is still honoured.
Annual hosting renewals. If you ask within one month of a renewal charge, we refund that charge in full, no reason required, and cancel the renewal. After one month, refunds of renewal charges are at our discretion.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
